Why was I charged customs or import fees on my international order?Updated 8 minutes ago
If you're outside the United States, you may be asked to pay import fees when your order arrives. Here's why.
What you paid at checkout
The shipping cost you paid us covers transporting your order from our New Jersey warehouse to your door.
What the carrier is collecting
Many countries charge import taxes (such as VAT or GST) and customs duties on goods coming from outside the country. These are usually a percentage of the value of the goods plus shipping. The carrier (for example, UPS or FedEx) pays these to customs for you, then collects them from you along with a small handling fee.
None of this money goes to Apex Sim Racing. The amounts are set by your country's customs authority, not by us.
Before you order
- Check your country's import rules to estimate the taxes and duties you might owe.
- Not every brand we carry can ship internationally. See Do you ship worldwide?
Questions about a charge?
For questions about the amount, contact the carrier that delivered your order. If you need a copy of your invoice for customs, email [email protected] with your order number.
